National Ocean Sciences Bowl

The National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) is an academic competition among teams of high school students nation-wide. During the competition math and science skills are applied to topics on ocean and Great Lakes biology, chemistry, geology, physics, technology, history, and economics.

The Great Lakes regional bowl is part of the annual competitions and is held at the University of Michigan, School of Natural Resources and Environment. Regional competitions are scheduled in February with the final national competition held in April or May around the country. Michigan Sea Grant is a co-sponsor of the Great Lakes bowl.
